Seeking some Time out in the Tsitsikamma?
If you come down to the woods today you are in for a Big Surprise...

SERENITY RETREAT is set in the peaceful and friendly Village of Stormsriver and is a calm and relaxed escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
It is also a safe haven for cost conscious Travellers.
Serenity is not Freedom from the Storm but peace within the Storms and here there is enough space and privacy to retreat, relax and restore your soul; to contemplate nature and life, breathe the pure air and gaze at unpolluted skies.

Marvel at the forces of nature so evident in the Tsitsikamma as you walk beneath huge multi-hued skies, savouring the sights and sounds of the indigenous forests, the fynbos and Indian ocean @ the nearby Storms River Mouth (Tsitsikamma National Park) – the home of the world famous Otter Trail.

This small (sleeps max 15 people) owner run establishment is fully fenced and parking is secure.
Serenity is ideal for self-drive guests – couples, families, hikers and small groups.

Serenity offers safe Surroundings in the heart of the Tsitsikamma – an ideal base from which to explore the many aspects of this magnificent area. No alcohol is sold on the premises.

  • Marilyn’s 60’s Diner offers fun, good diner food and decadent desserts (the best kept secret is that Elvis lives on in Storms River – along with other Rock ‘n Roll and 60’s icons at Marilyn’s 60’s Diner).

  • Rafters Restaurant at the Armagh Country Lodge offers ambience, quirky décor and delicious South African cuisine and wines.

  • The Hunters Pub and Restaurant offers good fare and Big Screen TV’s featuring major sporting events.

  • Close by the country kitchen of the Finebush Farm offers delicious local produce and cheese lunches.
Our fun filled forest dorpie has coffee shops, some small shops and a liquor store, an Adventure and Info Centre, a Mountain Spa and is home to the famous Tsitsikamma Canopy Tours and many other eco-activities. The closest beach is nearby (15kms) at the Storms River Mouth.

Perhaps the most surprising aspect of Stormsriver Village is that it is a Vibrant Community where people still care and co-operate – smiles, open and friendly faces, an unhurried way of life and relative cross cultural harmony are the default setting of this fun filled forest dorpie – people here really do go the extra mile.

The pace of life is reminiscent of times long forgotten and guests can be forgiven for thinking they have stepped back to an era where principles came before personalities and people lived in the spirit of Ubuntu.
This feeling of safety, and the warm welcome provided by your hosts & the local community... embrace the visitor and really invite you to linger longer and absorb the relaxed & revitalizing atmosphere of the Tsitsikamma. | tel: 042 2811 530 | cell: 081 051 5471
